Namibia’s Roads Authority Undergraduate Bursaries

Have you heard about the Roads Authority Undergraduate Bursaries? The Roads Authority of Namibia, established in 1999, is responsible for managing the country’s national road network to support economic growth. As part of its commitment to investing in the education and development of Namibian youth, the Roads Authority is offering undergraduate bursaries for the academic year 2023. Eligible candidates can apply for bursaries in fields such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science (ICT), Electronic Engineering, and Transport Economics.

Eligibility Criteria: Roads Authority Undergraduate Bursaries

To be eligible for the Roads Authority’s undergraduate bursaries, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Namibian Citizenship: Only Namibian citizens are eligible to apply for the bursaries.
  2. Current AS / Grade 12 (NSSC) Learners: Applicants who are currently in AS / Grade 12 (NSSC) and have good pass marks in Mathematics and Physical Science are required to submit their first semester 2022 results.
  3. Preliminary Admission Letter: Applicants must provide a preliminary admission letter from a recognized tertiary institution indicating that they have been accepted for an undergraduate program in one of the eligible fields of study.
  4. Academic Reports: If already registered at a recognized tertiary institution, applicants must provide their latest academic report.
  5. Copy of Namibian ID/Birth Certificate: Applicants need to submit a certified copy of their Namibian ID or Birth Certificate as proof of citizenship.
  6. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Applicants must provide a CV with the latest information, including their educational background, work experience, and any relevant achievements.

Fields of Study:

The Roads Authority undergraduate bursaries are available for the following fields of study:

  • Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science (ICT)
  • Bachelor of Technology in Electronic Engineering
  • Bachelor of Technology in Transport Economics

Application Process:

Applicants are required to submit their application letter, along with certified copies of the above-mentioned documentation, to the Human Capital Office of the Roads Authority.
