In this post I am going to tell you the lessons I learned from blogging in Namibia

1.) It is a long term game (Lessons I learned from blogging in Namibia)

I did not make money in the first 2 years of my blogging experience.

It is going to take time to build up traffic. It will take a while for Google to trust your website and show it on the first page.

2.) You should have patience

Keep going even when it seems like nothing is working. In August 2020, I was a few minutes away from quitting… 11 months later I am now making more than N$10000 per month passive income from the blog I wanted to shut down.

3.) Blogging requires consistency

You need to show up on a consistent basis, this will help you grow and maintain your audience.

People will come back to your blog when they know there will be new content to read when they come back.

4.) Do not overthink

Everything will not be perfect in the beginning, but you will definitely get better at it.

You need to listen to your audience and focus on the thing that really matters, which is writing and providing readers with valuable content.

5.) Learn as you go

Tackle one thing at a time and learn as you go…

When I created my website I did not know everything that had to do with blogging and making money online.

It took me 2 years to make money on my first website, It now takes me only 2 to 5 months to generate income from a new website.

I had to learn on the go, blogging is a long learning process. 3 years of blogging, and I am still learning new things every day.

6.) It is a journey

Blogging is a journey that I have decided to take and enjoy. There are days where I doubt myself and fear that things will fall apart.

I have learned to believe in myself, but self-doubt is normal. Whenever fear and doubt creep in, I always ask myself why I am doing this… This question has helped me to grow confidence over time.

I still blog because the value that I have provided has helped thousands of people.
